International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Review of the Handling of Water Treated with Multi-nuclide Removal Equipment at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station

TEPCO is engaged in initiatives pertaining to the water treated with multi-nuclide removal equipment, (hereinafter referred to as, "ALPS treated water") at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station in accordance with the government's basic policy that was announced in April of this year. We hereby inform you that the International Atomic Energy Agency (hereinafter referred to as, "IAEA") will be conducting a review of these initiatives.

The objective of this review conducted by the IAEA at the request of the Japanese government is to provide advice, etc. pertaining to the handling of ALPS treated water at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. The schedule and the details of this review shall be decided on by the Japanese government and the IAEA.

TEPCO HD shall continue to move forward with suitable handling of ALPS treated water based on the advice, etc. received during this review.
