Fuel Cost Adjustment in the Electricity Rates for May 2021

In response to today's publication of the fuel prices from December 2020 to February 2021 (trade statistics prices of crude oil, LNG, and coal), the fuel cost adjustment unit prices in the electricity rates for May 2021 have been fixed as follows.

<Reference 1> The change of the electricity rates on the average model
The electricity rate on the average model for May 2021 will be 6,822 yen, which is an increase of 276 yen compared with April 2021. It includes the fuel cost adjustment and the unit price of renewable energy power promotion surcharge for FY2021 (3.36 yen/kWh as announced by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on March 24, 2021) to be applied to the electricity rates from May 2021.
