Press Release (Feb 26, 2016)Establishment of Fukushima Revitalization Promotion Offices in TEPCO's Subsidiary Companies Following its Transition to a Holding Company -All members of TEPCO group are united to fulfill responsibility for the Fukushima accident-

Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) once again would like to extend our deepest apologies to residents in the neighboring areas of the Fukushima Daiichi and Daini Nuclear Power Stations and the Japanese public for having caused a great deal of stress and anxiety from the Fukushima nuclear accident.

On April 1, 2016, TEPCO will be transitioning to a holding company. For all members of the TEPCO group to come together and continue to fulfill its responsibility to revitalize Fukushima, the company has decided that it will set up Fukushima Revitalization Promotion Offices in the three subsidiary companies, namely TEPCO Fuel & Power Incorporated, TEPCO Power Grid Incorporated and TEPCO Energy Partner Incorporated and also assign Fukushima Revitalization Representative to its 26 existing subsidiary companies, effective on the 1st of April.

By expanding the system in which workers responsible for the revitalization of Fukushima can work closely together with one another, TEPCO expects to increase activities for Fukushima's revitalization, sharing information concerning progress and efforts to dispel harmful rumors about Fukushima-grown products.

The TEPCO group will never forget Fukushima residents' suffering and will continue to be committed to its responsibility for Fukushima by establishing roots, and further its efforts for normalization of residents' lives and revitalization of Fukushima, continuing to respond with sincerity for compensation of nuclear damages.
