We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and 
non conformances at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after 
the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/Restoration Status 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration completed between September 3 to September 
    9, 2010 
    (Completed on the following date) 

   - Unit 3 Seismic reinforcement works (Seismic reinforcement works for 
     the fuel handling machine): 
       September 3 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration to be commenced between September 10 to 
    September 16, 2010 
    (To be commenced on the following date) 

   - Unit 2 500kV power cable inspection (Laying cables): 
       September 6*

 Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the 
 Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki 
 Earthquake", the Tokyo Electric Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides 
 this announcement containing incidents information reported from September 
 2 to September 8, 2010.

   - Information on Nonconformances (those related to: the Chuetsu-Oki 
     Earthquake; Grades GI, GII, GIII; and non-graded)

     Grades As, A, B, C, D; and non-graded)  

    * By close reexamination of past nonconformance incidents, four of them 
      are identified as related to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake, so the total 
      number of them has been corrected.
