We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and nonconformances 
at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/Restoration Status

 ◇ Inspection and restoration completed between August 28 to September 3, 2009 
    (Completed on the following date) 

   - Unit No.2 Reactor recirculation piping preventive maintenance (Ultrasonic testing):
       September 3 
   - Unit No.5 Seismic reinforcement works (Seismic reinforcement works for reactor 
     building overhead crane):
       August 28 
   - Unit No.6 Functional test for the entire plant (Test of raising the reactor pressure 
     to approx. 3.5MPa):
       August 28 
   - Unit No.6 Functional test for the entire plant (Test of raising the reactor pressure 
     to approx. 7.0MPa):
       August 29 
   - Unit No.6 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after activating a main 
     turbine generator):
       August 30 
   - Unit No.6 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after temporary main 
     generator synchronization):
       August 31 
   - Unit No.6 Functional test for the entire plant (Inspection after generating power 
     at approx. 20% of the rated output):
       September 2 
   - On-site check, inspection and restoration of the oil protection bank for the 
     transformer (Unit No.4 Restoration work):
