Status of the Inspection and Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (as of April 9th)
We are announcing the status of major inspections and restoration works and nonconformances 
at TEPCO's Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake. 

Inspection/Restoration Status

 ◇ Inspection and restoration completed between April 3rd to April 9th, 2009 
      (Completed on the following date) 

   - High-voltage start-up transformer #2 inspection (Transportation into the factory): 
      To be completed on April 9th 

 ◇ Inspection and restoration to be commenced between April 10th to April 16th, 2009 
      (To be commenced on the following date) 

   - Unit No.2 Seismic reinforcement works (Seismic reinforcement works for the roof truss 
     of the reactor building): 
       April 13th 
   - Restoration and reinforcement work for the on-site and outside roads and slope, etc. 
     (Maintenance work of the slope in front of sub protection headquarter office): 
       April 15th 

 ◇ Work Schedule of Major Inspection/Restoration from April 5th to May 2nd, 2009

   - Work Schedule of the Main Inspection/Restoration of the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear
     Power Station in Response to the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (during 4 Weeks)

Based on the "Public Announcement Regarding Nonconformance Found in the Inspection and 
Restoration Works Performed after the Niigata-Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake", the Tokyo Electric 
Power Company, Incorporated (TEPCO) provides this announcement containing incidents 
information reported from April 2nd to April 8th, 2009.

Other Findings
* Numbers were corrected to reflect nonconformance incidents that had been identified as not related to the Chuetsu-Oki Earthquake (4 cases). - We have begun sequentially handling of fires and hazardous material that has been banned since March 5th, 2009.
