9Reactor control room Major accident response facilities （response to major accidents）

Requirements from the New Regulatory Requirements: ●Operators should be able to stay in the reactor control room, or main control room, at the time of major accidents.
Actions taken at the Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Nuclear Power Station: ●Exposure dose of workers will be reduced by building a shelter with radiation shielding near the main control room.
●Radiation-related equipment and materials (protective gear and measuring instruments) are being stored in the main control room
　in preparation for a major accident.
●Power supply from alternating current power supply equipment (gas turbine generators and power supply vehicles) is being made available for
　the lighting and air-conditioning of the main control room.
